Written by frtyfve Team

The Association of Independent Music (AIM) have revealed the nominees for the 8th annual AIM Independent Music Awards.

AIM announced the nominees for the 8th annual AIM Independent Music Awards at House Of Vans in London last night. Hosted by Radio 1's Mel Lewis and Journalist Kate Hutchinson, the awards continue to champion the diversity of innovative artists within the independent music community.

AIM has also announced the Young Urban Arts Foundation (YUAF) as this year's charity partner. YUAF is a grassroots charity which provides support for young adults and children who are from underprivileged backgrounds.

Bristol punk-rockers IDLES lead the way with four nominations. Following them, Phoebe Bridgers, Let's Eat Grandma and Jorja Smith have all picked up three nominations each. Also notable are Shame, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Moses Sumney and SOPHIE, who have picked up two nominations each.
