The Great Escape reveals Lewis Capaldi as its first Spotlight act for 2019
The Great Escape has announced the return of AIM House at TGE conference next year. The Association of Independent Music will be working with cutting-edge independent record labels and music companies to deliver a programme packed full of interviews, workshops, after parties, ‘safe tents’, networking drinks and much more after a successful launch in 2018. In addition, TGE has also announced the return of The Great Escape Beach and Lewis Capaldi as the first spotlight act to play at the 2019 event.
The Great Escape has today revealed Lewis Capaldi as the first Spotlight act to play next year’s internationally renowned festival, as well as the return of The Great Escape Beach, AIM House at The Great Escape Conference and Attitude Is Everything’s plans for next year’s festival.
It’s been a whirlwind year for vocal powerhouse Lewis Capaldi, who performed at The Great Escape as a rising star in May 2018. Following self-released single ‘Bruises’ which rapidly reached over 25 million streams on Spotify claiming the most-ever plays from an unsigned artist – Capaldi has yet to stop impressing the world, receiving a prestigious nomination for BRIT’s Critic Choice.
Capaldi said, “Absolutely over the moon to come back and play The Great Escape this year! Had an amazing show last time and hopefully things will be the same this time around!”
