Should I Release Music during Lockdown?

Written by frtyfve Team

Within the first week of lockdown in Europe, Vodafone reported a 50% increase in internet usage in just 7 days - with the world glued to their devices online, there has never been a better time to release music.

You have a song finished and ready - who do you contact next? We speak to our A&R Manager Josh, to find out more!

Hey I’m Josh, A&R Manager at frtyfve! I was born in Newcastle, grew up in Cambridgeshire and now live in South-West London.

I know that my phone usage in the past weeks has skyrocketed, and I’m listening to more music than ever whilst working from home; so why not download our App and then DM me (@josh) if you’re interested in releasing music during lockdown!

Whilst we've got you, will you tell us what you're favourite album of all time is?

I always struggle to pinpoint a favourite album because there are so many, but ‘Play’ by Moby (1999) is one of my go-to’s!

And your favourite gig?

My favourite gig to date is Portishead at Latitude Festival in 2015.

Finally, please tell us who your top 3 'Ones to Watch' for 2020 are?

Powfu, NOISY, Maya Delilah - for sure!

Download the Frtyfve App and DM @josh now to release music during lockdown.
