Spinnin’ Records rebrands it's top playlists in preparation for voice-activated technology

The Dutch dance label delivers sounds to over 20 million people worldwide across various playlists and streaming platforms. Spotify has recently teased an in-app voice assistant, as well as it’s very own speaker, indicating the importance of voice-activated technology in the streaming age.

Meindert Kennis, Head of Digital Strategies at Spinnin’ Records said: “Having a personal AI-assistant and using it in everyday life is closer than we might realise. This means that voice is an important element in the overall mix of technology touchpoints for products and services. As a brand, you need to be prepared for a new way of communication between your consumer and its assistant.”

Their rebranded playlists included HUNDRED (their flagship Top 100 with 720,000 followers), BRAND NEW (the best new dance tunes), FIT (a workout mix) and PIXEL(designed to soundtrack gaming).
