Spotify has rolled out its songwriter and producer credits feature on mobile

Back in February, Spotify announced that it was to add songwriter and producer credits to the streaming platform. Celebrating the work of writers and producers, the feature has now been rolled out onto iOS mobile, as first reported by MBW.

Information which has been provided by record labels will be featured on the Spotify app and can be accessed via the three dots button and 'Song credits' menu option. MBW reports that plans are in place to correct missing credits.

Alfons Karabuda, the Chairman of the European Composer & Songwriter Alliance (ECSA) said:

"We realize some of the label-provided credits are incomplete or may contain inaccuracies, but this is just the first step in displaying songwriter credits on Spotify,’ the company said in a blog post back in February.

The feature will continually evolve to become more efficient, provide better functionality, and incorporate more information from industry partners over time."
