Simon Cowell and Jamie Oborne (Dirty Hit) among big winners at Music Business Worldwide's A&R Awards

Music Business Worldwide's A&R Awards 2018, in association with Abbey Road Studios, took place last night in London - with a number of coveted prizes up for grabs.
Simon Cowell picked up the A&R Icon award, presented to him by his colleague and Sony Music CEO Rob Stringer. Cowell thanked those who backed him at the start of his career, the artists he has worked with and the Syco/Sony team.
Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) and his manager of 30 years, Garry Blackburn, were recognised for their long-standing working partnership with the Artist Loyalty award. Whilst, Dirty Hit (The 1975, Pale Waves, No Rome) founder Jamie Oborne was presented the prestigious Sir George Martin Award by The 1975 frontman Matthew Healy.
