YouTube to host four day celebration of British music event

Off the back of the launch of YouTube Music, YouTube has announced a free to attend four-day celebration of British music.

YouTube has announced YouTube Music: In Residence, which will take place at 180 The Strand in London, from June 28th to July 1st.

The event will include 15 live gigs, talks from some of the biggest names in music & culture and immersive fashion and music experience. Sessions will explore the future of A&R’ing in urban culture, the role of DIY creativity in music videos, the spirit of the rave, the fast rise of Afrobeats, the collision of fashion and music and even more.

YouTube Music: In Residence been curated in collaboration with SBTV, Sony Music, Warner Music, Universal Music UK, Dazed and Pitchblack Payback. Dublin Castle, one of Camden’s finest pubs and live music venues will also be operating a working pub and venue in partnership with the event.

Artists performing include Becky Hill, Zac Pajak, Mirra May, Amun, Oli Fox and Chelcee Grimes, along with discussions featuring Annie Mac, SB.TV’s Jamal Edwards and DJ/producer Paul Oakenfold.
