Having started out as an acoustic singer-songwriter, Lucia Fairfull joined forces with fellow Glaswegian musicians Hamish Fingland, Ali Scott and Chris Ballantyne to emerge as organic guitar-driven four-piece, LUCIA. After transgressing from her acoustic roots, Fairfull's dreamy vocals are combined with underground lo-fi guitar rhythms and the band’s bubblegum-pop aesthetic. LUCIA’s contrast of 1990s Riot grrrl influence with pop-heavy melodies and romantic lyricism, has encouraged a surge in their popularity after successful support slots with Black Honey and The Big Moon. Their new EP 'Cheap Talk' firms up the status of the four-piece as dream-wave pioneers, offering a refreshing charm to the UK indie-rock scene.
