Reija Lee shines on neon-pop self-love anthem "Love Nobody"
Reija Lee is a name that may evoke familiarity, as the Perth singer has already amassed various triumphs. Part of EDM duo Kito and Reija Lee, she has been signed to Diplo’s label Mad Decent since 2013. Beyond this endeavour, Lee has embarked on exploring her own sound and has just shared neon-infused single "Love Nobody".
Reija Lee has picked up over 1,200,000 playlist followers this week
Lee cites her love for 80s-synth pop as the building-blocks behind her polished debut, a united effort alongside Melbourne hitmaker Styalz Fuego (Illy, Peking Duk, The Knocks). “Love Nobody is kind of a self-love anthem. I've written a lot of songs, and a lot of love songs at that, but never one for myself. For everyone who needs a bit of self-love, this one's for you (and me),” she revealed. The bright and nostalgic retro-pop piece becomes a dream-scape, as Lee’s expressive vocals coalesce with the mesmerising production. "Love Nobody" has already been featured on 31 influential playlists including ‘Triple J Hitlist’ and ‘Drum & Bass Top Tracks’, pushing Lee’s total playlist following to over 1,200,000 (Instrumental Music Scouting Platform).
