Disco Lizards emerge from London's lower east side with high energy debut "Come On"
I don't think we'll find an artist with a better name this week. Their debut single is pretty sick as well.
Disco Lizards are a 4-piece garage, come indie-rock outfit from South East London. Forming in the summer of 2018 over a love for rock 'n' roll music, the band got straight on the London circuit, playing a handful of shows which culminated in a sold-out headline show at The Old Baths in Hackney Wick. In retrospect, it's quite surprising that more bands weren't conceived from two months of blissful sunshine, beer clouds and waistcoat mayhem (48 years of hurt...).
Their debut single "Come On" shares a tale from another land, namely a wild night out in Amsterdam. "Meeting new people, experiencing new things and not knowing where the night will take you," is how the band sell a night out at The Pacific Parc Rock Club. With a high velocity, anthemic 60s infused indie rock sound, the single is born to play live.
"Come On" will be followed by a series of single drops, including "I Heard You Crying", which will be released on 15th March 2019.
