Having impressed at Bestival this summer on the back of their debut EP “No Need For A Curtain”, Walt Disco show no signs of easing off on what has been a fantastic year, with the release of their emphatic new single “Drowning In Your Velvet Bed”. Hailing from Glasgow, a city renowned for its rich musical heritage, Walt Disco have set themselves apart from fellow fast-risers with an unpredictability (both on and off the stage) that coincides so naturally with the enigmatic sound heard here on their latest release.

With a flair for an androgynous aesthetic, it can’t be a coincidence that “Drowning In Your Velvet Bed” meanders so interestingly between varying sounds and emotions. The aggressive, macho, in-your-face tempo and snarling vocals of the beginning, is followed by a softer, more delicate and slowed down middle interlude, which in turn precedes the returning urgent eruption of noise for the climax. Thriving off this chaotic structure, the young four-piece brilliantly present the unpredictability with which they have already become famed for.
