Catherine McGrath, the UK's answer to Taylor Swift, shares new single 'Lost In The Middle'.
Raised in rural Rostrevor, Northern Ireland, Catherine McGrath grew up over 4,000 miles away from the epicentre of country music. Despite this, her Irish folk roots and pop-star quality have lifted her into and way beyond the realms of Nashville, Tennessee.
After collaborating with American country star Hunter Hayes on her previous single "Don't Let Me Forget", Catherine enjoyed her 10th consecutive feature on Spotify's New Music Friday. Having picked up over 12 million streams to date, selling out her headlines shows and playing Radio 2's Biggest Weekend, she has gone from strength-to-strength. Inspired by her love of country music, she has shared "Lost In The Middle", as she prepares to release her debut album 'Talk Of This Town'.
“I really wanted to write a song that expresses how country makes me feel,” says Catherine. “Country music is especially good at telling stories, so when you’re having a bad day you can turn to music to take you somewhere else.”
Enjoying a 15.65% increase in playlist followers to over 5.3 million playlist followers this week, Catherine is enjoying another period of significant growth off the back of another strong single campaign. Featured on 28 influential playlists including UK Top 50, Wild Country and New Music Friday UK, her artist following has also grown by 4.5% this week, illustrating real engagement with her music (Instrumental's A&R scouting platform).
