The 1975 label comrade No Rome drops new single "Seventeen"
Philippines-based fast-riser No Rome has shared his latest single “Seventeen”. Signed to Dirty Hit Records (The 1975, Pale Waves, the list goes on!!), the pink-haired, soft-voiced, hot prospect is quickly becoming one of the most exciting artists on their roster.
“Seventeen” will feature alongside his previous single “Do It Again” on his forthcoming EP ‘RIP Indo Hisashi’ (produced by No Rome, George Daniel and Matty Healy of The 1975).
‘Seventeen’, says No Rome, “is an attempt to encapsulate the feeling of being young forever – a reality that sadly cannot be achieved. It’s a song about the endless melancholy of being young and in love. It’s about wishing it was as easy as it used to be; exploring a time when all that mattered was the failures of romance and the wonders of coming of age. No matter what age you are, ‘Seventeen’ is a reflection on living in the moment, rather than always reaching for the end point of who you are right now.”
With features on New Music Friday UK, New Music Friday Philippines, The Indie List, amongst 14 other influential playlists, No Rome has picked up over 1.5m playlist followers this week. Scoring a 470% increase, taking his total to over 1.8m playlist followers, “Seventeen” looks set to challenge his previous single “Do It Again” and it’s 435,000 streams. No Rome has also developed a considerably engaged audience, picking up 535 new direct followers (+14.86%) in the past seven days, taking his artist following to 4136 (Instrumental’s music scouting platform).
