Nashville based singer-songwriter Tim Halperin has dropped a soulful rendition of iconic 80s smash hit “You Make My Dreams”. Having drawn upon early 80s influences on his latest EP release ‘Chances’, Halperin pulls on heartstrings with his take on one of the greats.

“'You Make My Dreams' is iconic, which makes it daunting to cover. I realized that I've always listened to the hook of the song, but never paid much attention to the verse lyrics...and they're brilliant. This is a poetic, meaningful love song that was screaming for a stripped-down. heart-on-sleeve version. So that's what I did. I think the result is very special,” Tim explained.

With velvety vocal persuasion and enchanting symphonic elements enriching a modest piano backdrop, Halperin proves he has excelled way beyond the reach of his early TV fame. You Make My Dreams is out today via frtyfve records.
